Mint and rosemary plant

Getting fresh mint is great because for store bought mint, after a few days the mint starts to lose freshness, wilt and get dark. Growing it yourself means getting fresh from the plant anytime. Thai style mango sticky rice with coconut milk

Mango Sticky Rice

Mango sticky rice is a delicious dessert from Thailand. It is made with glutinous rice, coconut milk, sugar, salt, and ripe mangoes. My significant other fell in love with mango sticky rice having first tasted it in Thailand many years ago. The only chance we get to eat it is when we chance across the occasional Thai fair in the Klang Valley. Recently the mango season came in full abundance in the markets. With so many fresh fragrant affordable mangoes, I couldn’t pass the opportunity to make this delicious desert. ...

Pasta Cooking Tips

Make sure you have sufficient water for boiling. Pasta must have room to move. Add a pinch of salt, and a few drops of olive oil. Let the water come to a rolling boil. Add the pasta, and stir to loosen. Let it boil for 5 to 10minutes. If the pasta is frozen, or very cold from you refrigerator, you may want to thaw it first, or cook it a little longer. You will know when it is just done, when you see the pasta start to float to the surface. Immediately drain, and transfer the cooked pasta to the prepared warmed pasta sauce. Stir to combine and it is ready to eat. If meat is added, please make sure the meat is cooked before it is added into the pasta sauce.
